Brass and alabaster standing lamp

This amazing brass and alabaster standing lamp has beautiful etched tubing and alabaster accents. c.1930. We did a complete restoration on this lamp, which really brought out the awesome copper accents. It also has cast brass and cast iron parts, in addition to three beautiful alabaster accents, all of which are in excellent condition. This lamp has two pull-chain switches that operate independently, so you could use only one light if that’s all you need, or you could use both for extra light! In addition, the lamp has four raised feet on the base and a simple but elegant brass finial at the top.

The lamp shade is brand new, still in its wrapper. If you would rather select your own shade, we would remove ours and reduce the purchase price by $50.

Perfect for living room, dining room, bedroom, library, entranceway, or any space that needs some extra light. Measures 63 1/2″ tall to the top of the finial by 9 1/2″ diameter of the base. The shade is 14″ across the top by 11″ high by 16 1/2″ across the bottom. Rewired.

This signed DAL MP bridge arm floor lamp is made of brass and cast iron. It hails from about the 1930s. It has a beautiful Victorian-clad woman as a finial, which does not detach. The lamp was made by the Decorative Arts League, which operated in NY, NY in the 1920s and 1930s. The vintage glass shade is hand painted with some raised enamel accents. A turn switch above the shade makes it easy to turn the lamp on and off.

The arm pivots up, down and sideways, making it possible to direct the light onto whatever project you might be working on. Or, it’s also perfect for ambiance and as a general light source anywhere! The lamp measures 60″ high by 12″ across the base. The arm is 29″ from one end to the other, and the rosette at the end of the arm is 2 1/2″ in diameter. The shade is 4 1/2″ high by 5″ across the bottom. Rewired.

It was used by construction people and landscapers to firmly pack dirt, clay, sand, etc. When we saw it, we knew it would make a unique floor lamp, so we repurposed it and kept it out of the landfill. We added a vintage wooden finial and a square cloth shade to complement the square base. In addition, we added an on/off pull-chain switch to make it easy to operate. This could make a great gift for someone who might have used (or is still using) a tamper in his or her profession, or for someone who’s environmentally conscious and appreciates repurposed items.

Perfect for ambiance, as an accent piece, for reading, for an entranceway, or for any purpose you might have. It stands 63 1/2″ to the top of the finial, and the base is 7″ square. The shade is 6 1/4″ across the top, 12″ across the bottom, and 9 3/4″ high. Newly wired.

The pleated shade is new old stock, meaning that it’s a vintage shade that’s never been used and still has its original cellophane wrapping! The lamp has a three-way switch and uses a three-way bulb, providing low, medium and high amounts of light. Another interesting feature is the telescoping rod at the top center of the lamp that allows the shade to be raised or lowered. Or, if the new owner would prefer a different shade, there’s room to adjust it up or down to achieve the right proportion. Note the four raised feet on the base, typical of the Art Deco period.

Perfect for any room of the house! Use it on low as a nightlight, medium for reading, or high for a project needing extra light. Rewired.

Water jug converted to floor lamp

Could you use an early 1900s water jug converted to a floor lamp? Don’t miss out on this one-of-a-kind!

The wooden crate was used in the olden days to safely transport glass water jugs. It has a spring-loaded wooden stick in each corner to hold the bottle in place. This crate is in excellent original condition and has lots of natural patina. It’s clearly marked as follows: “This ‘TWOPLEX’ container Made by Fred. C. White, Inc., 241 Water St., NYC. Saratoga State Seal”. We decided to repurpose it so it could live another generation or two! We used vintage brass parts to create a standing lamp with two pull-chain switches. In addition, we used a vintage, four-sided, pyramid-shaped shade and an old finial to finish off our creation!

This is a real conversation piece! It could be perfect in a den, living room, office, bedroom, library, or even in a rustic setting like a cabin! It measures 62 1/2″ high (to the top of the finial) by 12″ across the square wooden crate. The crate itself stands 15″ high, and the shade is 14″ square at the bottom by 11″ tall. It’s newly wired to meet today’s electric codes.

Art Deco bridge arm floor lamp

This beautiful Art Deco bridge arm floor lamp is made of brass and steel, painted black. The gold washed base has subtle traces of green and black accents. The lamp base is marked “Patented March 4, 1924”. The auradescent shade is signed NUART and has a beautiful Greek Key design along the bottom edge. Please note that if you don’t care for the shade, we have many, many others from which to choose. Feel free to ask us if you prefer a different shade. A turn switch turns the lamp on and off. The shade pivots forward and back as well as side to side, which allows the user to direct the light where it’s needed most. With a smaller wattage bulb, this lamp could also be used for simple ambiance.

Because they face downward, bridge arms are perfect for reading, knitting, puzzling, or any other close work. This lamp measures 59″ high by 11″ across the bridge by 10″ across the base. Rewired.

Art Deco torchiere with marble slab on base

This Art Deco torchiere with marble slab on base is one of the most beautiful floor lamps we’ve ever carried! It has an auradescent melon glass shade. It has a mogul bulb (50-100-150 watts) and a three-way switch. In addition, it has copper bleeding through the brass plated finish, which attests to its age, c. 1930. The cut-outs on the cup that holds the shade represent the Art Deco period. The marble slab on the base and the decorative column right above it are both in excellent condition.

Perfect for ambiance (on the low setting), reading (on the medium setting) and lots of extra light (on the highest setting). Measures 66″ high by 16″ across the shade by 11″ diameter of the base. Rewired.
