Rare counterbalance ceiling pendant
This rare counterbalance ceiling pendant, made of porcelain and brass, offers adjustable length and has a white porcelain shade with raspberry edge, c. 1910. Has old-style Edison bulb, but any Edison-size bulb will work. Probably made in France but unsigned; now converted to American wiring. Requires wall switch. Perfect for a window seat, over the kitchen sink, over your favorite reading chair, stairwell, hallway, etc. Current measurements: maximum length is 5′; minimum length is 30 1/2″ (can easily be shortened). Shade is 10 1/2″ in diameter. Newly wired.
