This beautiful three-armed Victorian kerosene chandelier is dated May 26, 1868! It’s made of cast iron and has three original and matching kerosene lanterns, which we carefully converted to electric for use in today’s world. In addition, we added a ground wire to meet today’s electric codes. A wall switch would be necessary to operate this fixture.
Because it’s a heavy fixture, it would require a reinforced junction box in the ceiling, or a very heavy hook to hang from.
This fixture would be perfect for a large entranceway, stairwell, master bedroom, library, living room, dining room, or any space with a taller ceiling to accommodate it. It measures 69″ long, including 26″ of chain and a ceiling canopy/loop connector that are 5″ long. The main hub of the chandelier is 38″ tall, so there’s lots of room for length adjustment. The chandelier is 38″ wide.
