Thick glass bowl on brass fixture
This is a difficult-to-find thick glass bowl on brass fixture, dated July 14, 1914 on the socket sleeves. The glass is molded with urns, vines and florals which are hand-painted with very soft colors. A complementary design appears on the brass ceiling canopy. This was possibly manufactured by Bradley & Hubbard, but it is unsigned. The fixture has three chains that connect the canopy to the bowl, and it has a light inside the bowl where each chain connects. A wall switch is required to operate this fixture. Perfect for foyer, hallway, staircase, bedroom, library, etc. Measures 22″ long (including 16″ of chain) by 16″ across the top of the bowl. Rewired with ground wire added.
