Two-armed gas/electric chandelier
This stunning two-armed gas/electric chandelier is brass and hails from c. 1905. It has vintage reflective shades with a starburst design. Each shade is signed MAGIAN and dated Jun 19 1907 on the fitter lip. We carefully converted the gas side to electric, where we used a flicker bulb for effect. Any regular bulb would be fine if more light is needed or preferred. A wall switch is required to light up both the former gas side and the electric side at the same time. The on/off switch on the electric side makes it possible to turn off that side of the fixture if only one light is needed. Lots of versatility here!
The fixture also has rich patina and its original gas valve, offering character galore! It would be perfect in an entryway, hallway, stairwell, bathroom, over the kitchen sink, library, office, bedroom, etc. Measures 29″ long by 15″ wide. Rewired with ground wire added to meet today’s electric codes.
