Two-light brass wall sconce
Early electric two-light brass wall sconce with camphored glass shade and electric candle arm, probably made by Handel but not signed. Has rich patina. Dated July 14, 1914 on socket cap and February 3, 1911 on signed “Hubbell” fitter ring. Requires wall switch. This sconce offers terrific versatility: when the wall switch is in the ON position, the arm with the glass shade can be turned on and off at the sconce using the turn switch, while the candle arm would be operated by the wall switch only. You can have one light on or both! Perfect for entrance way, hallway, bathroom, pantry, living room, dining room, den, above headboard, over kitchen sink, etc. Measures 14″ high by 5″ wide by 8″ deep. Rewired with ground wire added.
