Art Deco plaster and horsehair flush mount
This vintage Art Deco plaster and horsehair flush mount is quite an unusual fixture! It hails from about 1925. On the underside, you can actually see the horsehair mixed into the plaster! The fixture has its original polychrome colors and finish. The gold wash and florals along the outside edge are slightly worn, representative of the fixture’s age. It also has three bare bulbs which provide maximum light. Because it’s such a short fixture, it’s perfect for a room with a low ceiling, though a higher ceiling could be equally as accommodating.
A wall switch is necessary to operate this light; a dimmer switch could add versatility. Perfect for bathroom, kitchen, hallway, bedroom, entryway, pantry, staircase, breakfast nook, etc. Measures 6 1/2″ high (including the bulbs) by 11 1/2″ in diameter. Rewired with ground wire added.
