Brass flush mount with etched glass shade
This brass flush mount with etched glass shade was made c. 1930s. It has one bulb inside and can accommodate up to a 60-watt Edison-sized bulb or its equivalent. The glass is frosted and makes a scalloped pattern at the top edge, where it meets the clear glass. The etching is of vines and berries, typical of the era. The perforated edge of the brass cap that holds the shade in place also represents the Art Deco period.
This fixture requires a wall switch to turn it on and off. It could be perfect in a bathroom, hallway, pantry, entrance way, staircase or any other smaller space. It measures 13 1/2″ long by 5 1/2″ wide with the glass. Rewired with ground wire added.
